You Need to Protect Yourself.

I didn't realize this, but we need to protect ourselves from monsters. I know how. Here's what you gotta do. Take a marker and write on every inch of exposed skin that you have. While you're marking up the tops of your feet - don't forget the bottom. and your forearms. it helps if you draw a little ghost on your hands. The ghost scares the monster away better.

How do I know this? My daughter showed me. She's done it twice now, so it's gotta help, right?! The next time she does this, I'll snap a picture.

I gave my daughter a 'reading' test. I wrote my name on a piece of paper and asked her what it said. 'Amy', she replied. 'Amazing', I proclaimed. (I always knew that she was a genius, this is just another piece of evidence proving it!)

So I tested her further. I wrote my hubby's name. 'Tell me what this says.'
'Toby'...and again she was right! 'Amazing' I told her again!

Obviously, she was listening to me today. Later that afternoon I heard her 'reading' the book 'Cat Goes Fiddle-i-fee' through our baby-spying machine. She shouts out to me 'Mama, I can read this book'. So we sat down on the steps and she 'read' it to me.....and then asked 'Wasn't that amazing?'

Genius, pure genius!

Happy New Year

I'm still thawing out from my holiday 'vacation' in Illinois....where it was snowy, windy and cold. Thank goodness, here in Virginia, the temps will hit close to 70 tomorrow! surely that will chase anyway any of that chill that followed me home.

while I'm not a big resolution fan, I did decide that I'm going to try and post more entries here to give my friends, family and fans a little more insight.
